Zerba Bag Photos

As we know, some of the best things in life are difficult. =] Well, definitely not simple. We love the Zerba Bag, and get lots of compliments on them around town! The steps aren't hard, there are just a lot of them! Add in a little bit unusual construction and we have a few confused purse makers! Here are some photos of all the Diagrams(This is not the actual pattern, just helpful photos and tips. You still must purchase the pattern to complete the bag.) This tutorial  is available under the Tutorials Tab. You can purchase the pattern in PDF or paper from HERE.

I hope these shine some light! If you still need help do not hesitate to email us!

  1. If you want to make a fabric strap instead of a webbing one, is there enough fabric for that? If not, how much fabric is needed for one?

    1. Hi Dee! There is not enough fabric, but it wouldn't take too much more. If you want a shorter handle, try just one 5" x WOF. (2) 5" x WOF might work a little better, then you can trim it down. If you have some extra fusible interfacing we recommend lining the strap with interfacing then folding it in half wrong sides together. Open it back up and fold the edges to the middle, then in half again. Top Stitch along both sides! I hope this makes sense! If not, please don't hesitate to send an email our way! wpcreek@wpcreek.com

      Cheers!

  2. Hello!

Is there a way to assemble the bag (back, back lining, front) without doing a French seam?

    Thanks.

  3. Hi EM
I haven't done this, so I can't answer with any certainty. What I would do is sew the two sides right sides together with a basting stitch leaving an opening for turning. Turn right sides out and check that everything is as it should be. Then turn back inside out and make the final "solid" stitching. You will have a little sewing that shows on the outside and the seams on the inside will not be finished.

    Hope this helps
